東壩 (萬宜水庫東壩防波堤)

簡介

📍 概況：萬宜水庫東壩外側防波堤，由逾 2,500 件雙 T 形消波石 (Dolosse) 堆砌而成，位於香港聯合國教科文組織世界地質公園範圍，距西貢碼頭約 18km。 🤿 環境：水深多為 11-14m，全區無超過 18m 深水；底質為消波石、岩石與沙礫，西側淺水為沙底夾散石，風平浪靜時能見度可達 15-20m。 🐠 生態：近年香港人氣微距點！砂葵與白雞毛水螅上常見鼻涕、木紋、豆豆等微型海蛞蝓，亦有小丑魚、墨魚、八爪魚、龍蝦及黃尾梭魚群。 ⚠️ 須知：切勿鑽入消波石縫隙，內部光線不足易迷失；白雞毛水螅極刺手勿觸碰。淺水訓練區有限，不建議初學者。

📍 Overview: Outer breakwater of the High Island Reservoir East Dam, built from 2,500+ double-T concrete dolosse within the Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark; about 18km from Sai Kung Pier. 🤿 Conditions: Mostly 11-14m deep with no area beyond 18m. Dolosse, boulders and sandy rubble; shallow sand with scattered rocks on the west side. Visibility can reach 15-20m on calm days. 🐠 Ecology: A rising macro hotspot! Zoanthids and white hydroids host Aeolidiopsis, Lomanotus and Doto nudibranchs, plus clownfish, cuttlefish, octopus, lobsters and yellowtail barracuda. ⚠️ Note: Never enter gaps between dolosse; light is poor and divers can lose their way. Macrorhynchia hydroids sting badly. Limited shallow area; not advisable for beginners.
