A clear white body with one orange ring set into every ceras: a two-tone palette so simple even the Latin name stopped trying.
Up to 2.2 cm, with upright clusters of 4–8 cerata, each ringed in bright orange. Named by Kelaart in 1858 from Ceylon (Sri Lanka); its variable looks later earned it duplicate names like Samla annuligera and Flabellina alisonae.
