Shell features elegant, wavy spiral ridges. Widely eaten in Europe, often boiled and picked out with a pin to dip in vinegar.

牠們產下的卵鞘像一團乾燥的黃色海綿，經常被海浪沖上沙灘，被稱為「水手的肥皂」。

They lay egg capsules that look like a dry, yellow sponge, often washed up on beaches and nicknamed "sailor's soap."
