簡介

灰綠微紅的身軀側腹嵌有一枚巨大明亮的橢圓金黃光斑，下頜靈動的長鬚不停在淺海沙坪上探測埋藏的獵物。

Distinguished by a large luminous golden-yellow blotch on its flanks and a black peduncle spot, probing sandy coastal shallows with tactile chin barbels.

小知識

體側第一背鰭下方生有一塊顯著的亮黃色長形大斑，尾柄基部另有一枚深黑圓斑；下頜一對發達觸鬚富含化學感官受器，覓食時如探測針般翻攪沙地，常吸引小型隆頭魚隨行搶食驚起的微小生物。

Features a bold glowing-yellow oval patch beneath its first dorsal fin paired with a dark spot near the tail; its flexible chin barbels are packed with chemosensory receptors to unearth buried prey, frequently attracting wrasses in tow.
