Torpedo-shaped and extremely fast. The most common squid species in Asia, frequently sliced into calamari rings or skewered for grilling.

小知識

牠們非常喜歡追逐亮光，漁民在夜晚會打開成百上千瓦的超強集魚燈，讓魷魚像飛蛾撲火般自投羅網。

They are fiercely attracted to bright lights. Fishermen use thousands of watts of intense lights at night, causing the squids to swarm like moths to a flame.
