一群透明小燈泡黏在岩壁上，咽部的白環像燈絲，部分海域冬天熄燈、春天再亮。

See-through light bulbs with a white filament ring on each throat; in some regions they switch off in winter and relight in spring.

小知識

單個個蟲最高約 2 公分，基部以短匍匐莖連成群體，附著在岩石、石塊與海藻上，水深可達約 50 公尺。體內含細胞毒性生物鹼 lepadin A，在 6 種群體海鞘的試驗中最不好吃。

Each zooid stands up to 2 cm tall, joined to its neighbours by stolons on rocks, stones and seaweed down to about 50 m. It contains the cytotoxic alkaloid lepadin A and was the least palatable of six colonial sea squirts tested.
