One of the largest solar-powered slugs, crowned with thick, finger-like cerata that sway like pulsing soft coral polyps in ocean currents.
Among the largest species in the genus Phyllodesmium; it houses functional zooxanthellae within its cerata to harvest solar energy and can readily autotomize its plump cerata when threatened.
