簡介

撐開一把棕色放射紋大傘，拖著 3 公尺長的觸手，在北太平洋冷水域巡邏。

Spreads a brown-striped umbrella over the cold North Pacific and patrols with tentacles up to 3 m long, like a slow security guard.

小知識

傘徑最大約 60 公分，分布於北太平洋、白令海與北冰洋，棲息在約 100 公尺水深以內，以橈足類、小魚和其他水母為食。刺痛偏輕但仍會灼傷皮膚；水族館裡標示此名的，多半其實是日本海刺水母。

Bell up to 60 cm, living above about 100 m in the North Pacific, Bering Sea and Arctic Ocean and eating copepods, small fish and other jellies. The sting is mild but can burn, and aquarium jellies labelled melanaster are often really C. pacifica.
