Two chin barbels act as a built-in metal detector, sweeping the sand for shrimps and crabs.
小知識
最長約 19 公分，多在水深不到 10 公尺的沙地與淺礁、珊瑚交界出沒，吃甲殼類、有孔蟲和多毛類。下巴那對觸鬚布滿化學感受器，用來戳沙探路。1846 年由 Richardson 命名。
Up to 19 cm, usually on sand beside shallow reefs above 10 m, eating crustaceans, foraminiferans and polychaetes. Its chin barbels carry chemical sensors for probing the sand. Described by Richardson in 1846.
