體盤表面交織著極為密集的蜂巢狀或星點網紋，性喜於沿岸沙洲、潟湖及河口紅樹林淺灘覓食。

Features a dense maze of reticulated honeycomb freckles across a wide disc, cruising shallow estuaries and sand flats.

其修長無鰭褶的鞭狀尾巴在古代曾被原住民曬乾製作成天然的長鞭或武器，尾部毒棘具防衛功能。

Its long, whiplike tail lacks fin folds and was historically dried and used as a durable lash or hunting tool in coastal cultures.
