A white mantle webbed with a fine network of red lines and low, crinkly bumps, edged in white (sometimes with a thin yellow line), with white-stalked rhinophores bearing vermilion leaves.
After mating it drops its used mating organ and grows a replacement in about a day. It closely resembles its relative Goniobranchus tinctorius, but its red network is finer, its body taller, and each egg capsule holds one to six embryos.
