厚實碩大的身軀覆滿雲斑般的深色斑紋,兼具老虎斑的斑斕與龍躉的雄壯,是東南亞養殖業的明星魚種。

A massive, robust grouper marbled with dark blotches, combining the pattern of the tiger grouper with the bulk of the giant grouper.

小知識

由雌性老虎斑(棕點石斑魚)與雄性龍躉(鞍帶石斑魚)人工雜交培育而成,最早由馬來西亞沙巴大學的研究人員培育成功,市場上亦稱「沙巴龍躉」或「珍珠龍躉」;生長速度快,是東南亞及華人市場常見的養殖石斑,雜交種主要見於養殖場。

An artificial hybrid between a female Brown-marbled (tiger) Grouper and a male Giant Grouper, first developed by researchers at Universiti Malaysia Sabah and also sold as Pearl Grouper. Fast-growing and widely farmed, it is found mainly in aquaculture rather than in the wild.
