簡介

生活在冰冷水域的大型扇貝。廚師通常只取其巨大的白色閉殼肌來用奶油高溫香煎。

A large cold-water scallop. Chefs typically only use its massive white adductor muscle, searing it at high heat in butter.

與其他只會附著在石頭上的雙殼貝不同，扇貝遇到海星等天敵時，會快速開合外殼在海水中「飛翔」逃命。

Unlike other bivalves that stay glued to rocks, scallops escape starfish by rapidly clapping their shells to "fly" through the water.
