活像一支插在泥裡的白色鵝毛筆。一靠近就嗖地縮進洞裡，比你關手機螢幕還快。

A pale quill pen planted upright in the mud. Get too close and it vanishes into its burrow faster than you can lock your phone.

小知識

整支「筆」其實是群體，最長 60 公分，中軸卻只有幾毫米粗。牠捕食浮游動物，在黑暗中可能發光，實驗中龍蝦籠落水的壓力波還會讓牠向旁邊彎身閃避。

The whole "pen" is a colony up to 60 cm long, yet its stem is only a few millimetres thick. It catches zooplankton, may glow in the dark, and in experiments bent away from a dropping lobster pot, apparently reacting to the pressure wave.
