Gnarled and monstrous, creeping across sandy mudflats on claw-like pectoral rays while waiting buried in ambush.

Features free pectoral fin rays modified into mobile "walking fingers" that it uses to crawl across sediment; frequently buries itself in sand with only eyes showing, packing potent venom in its dorsal needles and flashing brilliant yellow under-fin colors when alarmed.
