An aerial glider of the tropical pelagic zone, launching out of the waves with short pectoral wings.
小知識
飛魚並不是在空中拍打翅膀飛行，而是靠尾鰭在水面下如螺旋槳般高速拍動提供推力，再藉由寬大胸鰭當作機翼滑翔。
Flyingfish do not flap their wings in the air; they taxi across the surface using rapid tail propellor strokes before gliding.
