簡介

深褐身軀散發著微細橘紋，背鰭與臀鰭基底末端各點綴著一顆墨黑小圓斑，不知疲倦地啄刷礁石表面。

Rich chocolate-brown highlighted by fine orange facial chevrons, marked with two distinct dark spots at the axils of its dorsal and anal fins.

小知識

背鰭與臀鰭基底末端各生有一枚鮮明黑點（共兩斑）因而得名；嘴內配備如細梳般靈活的梳狀齒，專門用來「刷洗」刮取珊瑚礁岩石表面的微細碎屑與矽藻，是維持珊瑚礁清潔的重要草食性魚類。

Named for the twin dark dots at the rear bases of its dorsal and anal fins; equipped with a specialized brush of flexible bristle-like teeth used to comb fine detritus and diatoms off reef rock.
