簡介
體表佈滿粗大肉質瘤突與棘刺，色彩鮮豔多變，夜間常舒展長腕在珊瑚礁岩壁與海綿群落間緩慢移行。
Covered in bold, fleshy calloused tubercles across its vibrant arms, creeping deliberately over coral rock and encrusting sponges under the cover of night.

腕足表面密布醒目的肉質疣狀瘤突，外觀獨特宛如生滿疙瘩的奇異生物；主要在夜間活動，具備海星典型的體外消化習性，會將胃袋翻出體外覆蓋並溶解吸收海綿與苔蘚蟲組織。
Characterized by oversized, warty tubercles covering its arms that give it a striking tactile texture; primarily nocturnal, it feeds by everting its stomach directly over encrusting sponges and digesting them externally.
