簡介

體側排列著數道深褐橫帶與閃爍藍點，常在珊瑚礁周邊沙地上不停吞吐細沙，過濾沙中的藻類與有機碎屑。

Marked with bold brown vertical bars and iridescent blue specks, constantly sifting mouthfuls of sand along the reef edge.

小知識

水族界著名的「翻砂蝦虎」；牠們以吞沙過濾的方式進食，大口吞入海沙後利用鰓耙濾出微藻與小型無脊椎動物，再將乾淨的細沙從鰓裂排出，是天然的海底翻砂工。

A famous "sand-sifter" goby that scoops up mouthfuls of substrate, straining out microalgae and small invertebrates with its gill rakers before puffing clean sand out of its gill slits.
