簡介
體側自眼後貫穿一條鮮明的寬闊白底黃褐色縱帶，尾鰭中央具有一顆顯著的深黑斑，姿態沉穩。
Traced with a prominent pale-edged yellowish-brown lateral band and a signature dark spot centered on its tail fin.
小知識
棲息深度略深於一般擬鱸，喜好在珊瑚礁外圍斜坡的平緩沙泥混合底質停棲，一旦受驚便會貼地低空滑行至鄰近石縫躲藏。
Inhabits deeper sandy flats around reef drop-offs, resting motionless on the sediment before gliding low over the bottom to seek cover.
